Memorial-Spaulding Mosaic Mural Reveal

On behalf of the Memorial-Spaulding PTO and parent community, and our incredible educators and staff, we cordially invite you to attend the official unveiling of our spectacular Mosaic Mural on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 5:00pm.

Led by our award-winning art teacher, Alexandra Etscovitz, and designed by our students in collaboration with acclaimed artist, David Fichter, the mosaic mural is comprised of 4 panels, each ~ 16 ft. high and 4 ft. wide. The structures incorporate hundreds of thousands of multi-colored glass tiles, each meticulously cut and placed by hand by our students, staff, parents, and community members over the course of the 2023-24 school year. The mosaic mural will reside on the front exterior of the school, and will be a visible and lasting memory for years to come.

This massive project has brought together our entire school community in a way that has taught us the importance of collaborative art, fostered learning about mural development, and enhanced friendships and teamwork skills. It has also built strong connections between staff and families, and has given us a deep and meaningful experience full of amazing memories that we will cherish. We are grateful to our MSPTO and our many community supporters, partners, and sponsors for their contributions to make this possible!
